I placed an order a few weeks back for a Premium GT Minus a few options. No Shaker 1000 and no wheel upgrades.

I am paying 26,747 before taxes and DMV Fees.

I got mine for about 2200 off MSRP due to an X plan pin. I don't think many dealers will take much less than 1000 off MSRP. But you might get lucky if you can find someone willing to deal.

$1200 off MSRP, bought in Maine. It definitely depends on where you are looking, though. I live in MA and no one could even find one I was interested in. I ended up in getting the run-around in NJ...they quoted me like 3k off MSRP, asked for 1k deposit, and then called back immediately and said I was crazy to ask that price.....after agreeing to it, and after me pointing out that it was posted on their website. Needless to say, I watched my CC bill like a hawk...never charged the deposit, but I won't be dealing with Roselle Park FordWorld again, that's for sure.

Pretty much everywhere else was telling me 2-3k over MSRP, and sometimes not with even the options I wanted. I found this one just by luck. The FordDirect site had it listed, but the dealership website didn't. I called the next day and they had just offloaded it from the truck. I put $50 (yeah, that's fifty dollars) down to hold it, and the rest is history. Had everything I wanted, plus leather. Gotta love Maine.

A lot of salesmen have people that will give them a x plan PIN number. I went to 3 dealerships and told the guy I bought from that if he gets me X plan, he gets the sale. No dickering, order it. He said no problem. The salesman will get the PIN from somebody, especially towards the end of the month. When I bought my Hemi Ram truck the salesman got me employee pricing from someone. He paid the guy $50 and made the sale. Go in at the end of the month or better at the end of a quarter.

Sticker was 27,500, I walked away with 26,500. Just gotta find a dealer that has their head in the right place and wants to sell their cars AND keep customers!

I paid $500 over invoice on my '06 Vert GT. Looking back, I think I should have done better.

My 06 GT Conv. stickered for 33,400 and I got for 31,000 on the xPlan - they also gave me 1000 more for my trade (2003 Infiniti G35) than my lease buyout. I still can't figure out why since they had the only GT Conv. in the area with a 5spd. Apparently right after they closed my deal they stopped accepting the xPlan on GT's at the dealership.
