Well, back in Feb. of 05, almost every dealer in Orange County wanted 5 or 6K over sticker. That was IF you could find a GT on the lot....[:@] I was two days from ordering one, when I placed one final call to my standby dealer. What became my car, had just arrived back to the dealership with it's new hooves...... Same color, same package, same everything I was going to order.....Got her for sticker.

Now, I did draw the line on their add on dealer sticker for 3995.00 for the 20 inch Niche and Nittos...Still overpaid for them, but they would not swap them out for factory......

Mike

I paid $28,800 out the door. 2006 Mustang GT Premium, Interior Upgrade, 18" polished aluminum bullitt rims, & wheel locks. MSRP was $28,375 with destination charge. I paid $174 under invoice for the car. Took about 30 minutes to agree on price. Drove it off the lot three weeks ago.

I just got my 06 GT Premium with a few options for $2500 off MSRP. It has the 17" bright alloy wheels, anti-theft system, side airbags, and wheel locks. They also gave me blue book excellent for my trade in, so I was very happy with the whole deal. They had about 60 Mustangs on the lot and it was a rainy night an hour before close at the end of the month.

i live next to a military base, fort riley kansas, and buying a new GT here is ridiculous. army guys come in with bonus checks and deployment cash, and just pay for the sticker price. they want it that day. they sell so many GT's, not to mention double that in V6's, that when anyone walks on to the dealership for a mustang, they dont even talk about the price with them anymore. the salesman says oaky, you want the car. and then they run your credit and type up a contract. all the while, you're enjoying a coke. they handed me the contract after just telling my they were only appraising my truck, and i flipped my freakin lid on the guy. well, needless to say, the general manager came down, which i quickly informed of the situation, and he told the salesman to go home, on the spot. thanks buddy. so i dealt with the general manager. and after putting 7k down on the car, i only financed 23.5k. fully loaded '06 GT in tungsten. that was with a 100k warranty, "nature" package (warranty on paint and interior for 5 years), a free tank of gas, and 2 free oil changes. after i got treated like crap for 3 hours, it was made up for.

I got a STEAL on my '05 GT Premium. I bought it from a private seller in the Tampa Bay market and wrote her a check for 21,000.

A dealership earlier that day offered me the same car, with more miles for 30,000.

Mustangs are hard to bargain with. They can sell them no matter what. It's a popular car. My advice would be to go at the end of the month. Dealers have to sell so many per month so they'll be more willing to bargain with you then.

I believe I got a very good deal.

The salesman that I dealt with *He was a wholesaler and sold directly to car lots*. It was a used 2005 Mustang GT Premium with 9,000 miles. He was asking 25 for it. So me and him had a little talk and I got what I wanted for my trade in *I had a 1996 Chevy Tahoe 2dr LT*.....I took my vehicle to the lot and got it appraised. Signed on the line and walked out the door with my new ride for 18,5.....best money I've ever spent...not to mention he gave me a hell of a deal considering that all the other dealers wanted on 3500 for my trade in.

Believe it or not, that 05 had a hell of a lot more power than the 06 I was thinking about getting, and I'm glad I got what I got.....my car is as unique as the guy who drives it.

If anyone is interested in the dealer:

www.driscollmotors.net I believe....they have an 05 with supercharger for only 24,000.....Black on Black...great guys to work with and they will give you what you want.

Got mine in July 2005 for sticker ($28,315) in my home town of mostly retirees.
I thought it was a fair deal at the time since most other dealers were charging thousands over sticker.
My family has bought many vehicles from them before so I benefited from being a repeat customer.
