I realize Flowmasters are pretty inexpensive compared with many other top manufacturers but like anything else, you get what you pay for. My Borlas come with a 1,000,000 mile warranty because they know they will last that long. Never mind about the internal baffle loosening up problems Flowmasters have, what about the exterior? They look like they're PAINTED black for god sakes! How can you compare that with T-304 grade stainless or even the stock 409 grade? Who cares about the sound right now when they're destined to fall apart down the road in short order? Your response: "Well, they were really great about sending me new ones." IMHO the best warranty is one you NEVER NEED. To answer your question: FLOWMASTERS? YES OR NO?
NO!

I think the black does a good job at hiding them. And for those like me with 10k on them an no problems, seems like a no brainer.

I got to listen to the Flow Masters, to me the sound pitch is too high.

Listened to a set of IMCO's and I've got to tell ya the IMCO's have a deeper sound pitch than the Flow Masters. Its pretty neat to line all three cars up side by side and listen.

To my ears the IMCO's have the Flow Masters and SLP LM's beat hands down.

I got to see my first Shelby GT500's in person yesterday at a local dealership. They had one red vert up on a lift and a salesman let me into their service area to check it out. While looking at the exhaust I was told, "those are flows, the best exhaust system out there." I wasn't going to tell him otherwise but I find it hard to believe FORD would choose Flowmasters for a car in this price range ort could he have meant Magnaflows? I mean this vert had a cloth roof and for around $60,000 (dealer's price) they're gonna skimp on the exhaust system? Does anyone know who actually makes them for this car? They said FORD right on them but they could have just been stamped that by any manufacturer.
