After cruising for a few hours tonight I had to chance to go up against a nice looking 5.7 GTO from about 40mph. We went at it 4 times, I pulled him by a about a car and a half each time and then an '05 Mustang GT which must have been running short one cyl because both the Goat and myself walked right by him pretty easy.

All in all a fun evening! I hope to see the Goat again sometime, he seemed like a nice guy, we gave each other the thumbs up after the last run and he turned off.

I posted this in the Street Strip section, it's getting about as much attention as my CAI thread in the 2005-2006 Mustang section, so may not get much here either.

who did your tune? Canned or dynoed?

The 05/06 GTO's have a 6.0 and +50hp from the 04's. Stock for stock an 05 should have outrun you, but an 04 should be a c-hair slower.

I'm running the Tunable Induction CAI with his canned tune for 93 octane and MAC mufflers, that's it regarding mods. Not dynoed yet.

I pull on 5.7 gto's very nicely, as for a 6.0 it depends if they guy can drive it or not.
