Ok, I have a 05 with just the tune right now and K&N. With just the tune it came ALIVE big time. I'm looking for those who first did the tune & then later did the CAI. I want to see if there was a BIG HP feeling/gain between the two. I don't mine spending the $$ but only if it will free up more than 15rwhp or so.
Please note only looking for those with AUTOS thanks guys

Man, I'm tell'in ya.
Get the C&L CAI and a Tuner that has a program designed specifically for the C&L CAI, you'll love it.
There are 3 mods you'll want to spend money on:
1. C&L CAI and a tuner w/93 Octane tune (approx. add 30 rwhp)
2. Under Drive pulleys (approx. add 10 rwhp)
3. Axle Back exhaust system (approx. add 5 rwhp)
With these 3 mods you will get close to 300 rwhp. if not more. Depends on how good your tuner is.
I am not going to recommend Diablo Sport because of their lousy customer service. Based on what I've read hear and on other forums, your best bet would be to go with the SCT Xcalibrator2, great customer support and always adding new features.
The hard part of this whole adventure is to find a tuner (mechanic) that knows the engine and is also computer literate. Not easy.
Just my $0.02

I have from Brenspeed(great person) the SCT tunner. I'm just woundering if I should buy the JLT intake for $200. I'm woundering what I HP I got with just the tune itself.

a friend of mine switched from k&n to jlt, because of the different pipe size, the tune was changed and made more power he could feel.
And GT John, axle back wont give you 5, more like 1-2, and thats way in the margin of error

Go with C&L CAI
There is a poll either on this forum or one of the others I below and the biggest percentage of Mustang GT owners are using C&L. Check it out.
You best source for what the 3 mods I suggested will do for your car can be located on Steeda's website. They did a real nice write up on the 3 mods.
The C&L will cost you more. I had mine Powder Coated so that grease and road dirt wouldnt settle into the metal pours.
If you go cheap on the 3 mods you may not be satified with the results.
You will want to find a shop that supports the tuner you purchase/d. Go to their website and use the "Tuner Locator" just enter you mailing zip code.
If you really want to have a blast add the 3.73's or 4.10's. Way too cool!
Anyway you look at it, beg, borrow or steal around 2 grand, you'll need it.

This doesn't exactly answer your question but i'm throwing it out anyway. Run 1 red is my adjustments on diablo Predator + K&N run 10 blue is after the dynojet at Atlanta Chassis and Dyno and Brad's adjustments using the Predator for about an 11 HP gain. Obviously, he knows what he is doing.

unfortunately the blip at about 118 mph creates erroneous readings, 278 1/2 HP run 10 blue v. 267 1/2 HP Run 1 red before and after Dyno and Brad's adjustments using the Predator ( FYI $200)

RE: looking for thosewith CAI/Tunes and Just those with tunes with autos.
Thanks guys. I should have made it more clear that I just have a stock replacement K&N filter(sorry). So from what I see or asking I should net much more HP out of the car then what I got with just the tunning without a CAI.
Thanks to all for a lot of hard work.
