Default TURBONATOR??

Ok aside from sounding like an 80's action movie starring Sly and Ahnuld does anyone have any idea if this thing actually works, is it worth the money? Here's a link I found:

Thanks! Keep your stick on the ice!

No it does not work...I know there is already a thread about this somewhere, and I also read an indeapth article from one of the popular car mags. which I can't recall at the moment, that tested this and several other similar devices and ALL of them either had no impact at all or made performance and gas mileage worse. So no save your money.

Default RE: TURBONATOR??

here is a simple answer to wether or not the turbonator or anything like it works.

1. All it does is spin the air coming into your engine.
2. It is a blockage in your intake and will only limit the air that comes in.
3. They say "making a vortex increases the intake speed" well that is just not true, you can learn this from common physics. When the air is spun it causes more movement which causes more friction between particles which makes energy. The more energy a molecule or atom has, the more it moves and the more heat it generates from the energy. The hotter a gas or any form of matter gets, the larger it gets (except for water when frozen). This basically means your air will expand before it actually combusts making less performance. It may not be too noticable, but it's true.
