If you are going to do gears, do the FRPP 4.10's.... Anything else is pretty much a waste of time... Not too much of a difference going from 3.55's to 3.73's....

4.10:1 at least with a manual tranny, Auto 3.73 or 4.10 I actually am going with 4.10's with my Auto trans

I called Roush on Thursday to see if I could do the 4.10 and maintain the warranty but they were closed. I will follow up on Monday.

By the way, if you go to the Roush site, they sell 3.73's for 94's thru 2004's, but nothing for the 05-06 models. Too bad they don't sell there own 4.10 for the 05-06. Then you could probably add it and maintain the s/c warranty.

Like I said, I will call Monday but my guess is they will not allow it.
the 04 Gears are the same ones for the 05-06

Hey guys, great site. It's good to see that there are others who love Mustangs as much as we do. Just picked up our 06 Mustang Gt about three weeks ago and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!. As I'm driving around I can feel that the gears in the back can stand to be a little lower than the 3:55's. Has anybody here changed there gears yet and what kind of gear would be good for the highway and around town cruising. I was thinking 4:11's what do you think?

Manual 5spd transmission: 4.10 gears

Automatic 5spd transmission: 3.73 gears

Raced a C5 Corvette today and was dead even up to 70 mph when I had to slow down for traffic in my lane. I think he had some mods (at least mufflers) because it was pretty dressed up on the exterior. I left my a/c on because the guy took off on me unexpectedly. When I posted this on the Roush forum, a guy told me the a/c shuts off at full throttle automatically. Anybody ever heard that?

Could have used that 4.10 or 3.73 today.

In my experience, you will tach 300 RPM higher with 4:10's as opposed to the stock 3:55's at 70 MPH. 3rd gear with 4:10's is where you'll put most of your kills away.
