Default Headers and X-Pipe worth it? Just go for Nitrous?

Hiya,

I've got CAI, Diablo Sport Tuner, Borla Catback, and 3.73 gears.

Do you think its worth it to go with Headers and an X-Pipe or should I just go ahead and get my nitrous and a tune?

I want to run a wet 125 shot. Will headers and an x-pipe really do that much? I don't want to get a UDP because I don't wanna mess with the alternator, and 5-7 horses for $250 doesn't seem worth it.

Ok, what about this, if I get my nitrous and tune right now, do you think I would need to retune after I get XPipe and headers?

I'm sort of stuck. I have a CC with a $5000 limit, and no intrest until January. Supercharger is to much, so what can I add that will give a significant upgrade?

If you think the UDP's aren't worth the HP/$, you definately won't want the headers & xpipe.

Nitrous is always the easy way to go, just make sure you always have a full bottle on hand, and don't push it past 400hp

I haven't seen anyone have a problem with alternator failure due to U/D's. The only possible consequence is if you were sitting at idle for long periods with your a/c cranked and tunes blaring, then you'd be putting strain on the battery.

There have been a few guys with dealership troubles because of a TSB about faulty alternators to begin with, and the dealership trying to blame it on the U/D's, but the alternators would have failed anyways.

lol. pullies will make your alternator last LONGER because there is less wear and tear on all of the accessories due to slower belt speed.

How much HP do you think I would make with...

C&L CAI
Borla Catback
125 Shot

Would that be to much stress on the engine? I really DON"T want to blow anything. 300+20+4+100=424 Hp?? To much?

Everything I've read says 400 is safe, anything past that is getting leary, 425 probably won't harm your engine anytime soon, but it's life will be shortened every time the NOS goes through.

Of course since no one has owned one of these cars for more than 2 years, no one really knows yet.
