Am I too big for a Mustang.
I'm about 6 foot 3 inches, wiegh about 280 but Im a football player, a lineman, Im 17 years old. Just wondering if a new 06 GT Premium Mustang is too small for me. Will I have enough leg room. I can fit inside my sister's small 1999 Toyota Carolla with an okay amount of room. I've always loved Mustangs, and I am wondering if u guys can determine if I will have enough leg room, or just fit in it comfortablly.

well if ur 17, how can u afford an 06 gt? please dont tell me ur parents are buying u one.
i just turned 18 a few days ago, and am still in high school and have 2 cars, and my parents have payed for either, not a single dime

Yer gonna be a sardine in there. Im 5'10" and 220, and I can get the seat back far enogh, but you will really bang your right knee bad on the console/dash area. Why dont ya go to the dealer and at least sit in one. You wont have to drive it to tell.

So I probably wont be able to fit in them then, damn. I will buy my Mustang myself. I guess I should go to the dealer and see if I do fit. I will be greatly disappointed if I cant fit in it. Ever since I saw I Elanor in Gone in 60 Seconds I knew I had to have a Mustnag. Oh well, any more opinion on if I can fit in a Mustang would be greatfully appriciated. Thanx.

Well thats good to here, 1 inch probably wont make a big difference, so I take your word on it. Im actually pushing 300 myself I just found out. But the thing is since Im so tall, I look fat butin a slender way, its hard to explain. I was just worried about me being so tall in the new Mustangs.

6' 4" and 255 lbs. I am confortable in the GT. No one's getting in the back seat with me driving, but that's what the Explorer is for. I've driven the '04 Stang and now an '06 and there's no comparison. Plenty of leg and head room in the '06.
Maybe not everyone's aware that the drivers seat (at least on the GT) has a setting to let the seat down further towards the floor and this frees up lot's of head and shoulder room. You can also tilt the seat backwards using the electric adjuster instead of just tilting the seatback. This too adjusts nicely for legroom.
