GT to V6 grill

RE: GT to V6 grill
I was looking into this last year. Unless you get into some serious cutting/fab work, to change the front from GT to V6 you'll need the upper and lower grills, bumper cover and front halves of the fender well shields.

Ah... no... keeping GT bumper, lower grill, fender wells, AND outer perimeter shell of a GT grill. The only modification is within an existing GT grill. Inside that perimeter OE honeycomb w/o lights and w/o pony (using V6 grill doner honeycomb primarily) Done much more challenging fab in various types of plastic and metal. Planning, testing material properties, etc. I don't see this one as much of a challenge; trickiest item is likely going "no pony".

i did my gt with the v6 parts and wasnt any problem at all. you need the complete front bumper, both grills the fender liners and the bumper insert piece. youll have to remove the turn lites out of the gt bumper and install them in the v6, unless you get 1 with the turn lites. the v6 grill loks much more retro to me since its more what i grew up with and i also removed the gts and put ponys on. this along with the saleen and the 461 rwhp makes it much more fun! if you need a pic email me.

and actually the v6 lower grill lets more air thru than a gt grill. the license plate may make a little difference, but apples to apples the v6 flows more air. i also kept the lower diverter plate? from the gt onto the v6, the plastic piece that keeps the air moving thru proper.

Right, but don't wanna buy "the complete front bumper, both grills the fender liners and the bumper insert piece" and then have a lic plate molded front bumper. ...and in my case I don't want that plastic pony in it's plastic corral either. OE look GT grill, no lights, no pony. ...it's comin...
