Default Front license plate mounting

Hey, everyone. I have a new 06' GT, and just got my license plates. Since my state requires front plates, I guess I will put mine on. Is there any trick to it? The holes haven't been drilled yet, and all I have is a cordless screwdriver. Can I just use that to put the screws in? I'm sure everyone is going to say don't bother with the front plate until I get a ticket, but I don't think it's too bad to put it on. Thanks.

Whatever dealer you bought the car from should do this for you. If you bought the car out of state, then whatever Ford dealer you plan on having service your car should do it for you.

I wouldn't put holes in the bumper but if you must, there are two tiny dimples (slightly visible) behind this is a molded plastic bumper material sleeve to accept the screw. Use stainless phillips (no more than 3/16 diam" I'd use first) and any screw driver.

I like the magnet idea one guy had; I would just add a wire or two in case it ever came dislodged; but NO HOLES; I don't have front plate in MA (newer red plates are two; older green is one)

In NYC it's a must ... It's bad enough the car's already a police magnet ... Gotta do what ya gotta do ... Besides it doesn't look that bad ...

Here in Cali its not absolute law, for people like me, its really just a suggestion at this point. I don't have mine on, the dealer never put the holes in for me. And if I get pulled over for it, its a $10 fine, and a fix-it ticket. So, I go home, get the plate, double side sticky tape it on, and go and get it signed off.

I saw some guy on here that made an "L" type bracket that mounted on an underside of either the bumper or lower air scoope thing, so at least the holes were not visible. That seems like a godd idea.

PA does not even issue front plates! [sm=smiley4.gif]

I make a bracket that bolts on from the top of the lower opening. E-mail me for details.

Easy Removal for shows.

i was pulled over by CHP on the freeway solely for no front plate...he wrote me up, hassled me about tint, and said good day sir. i just got it again, though this time i was pulled over for "estimated speed 80"...arg at least it wasn radar or laser so i can put up some form of a fight.
