Default Ride, noise & 18 inchers

Ordered my convertible GT with the standard 17-inch bullitts but saw one in the same color last weekend with the 18-inch polished aluminum bullitts. Nice - real nice. Dealer says they can probably switch me out. However, one of the things I like about the GT convertible (I test drove one with standard 17-inch bullitts) was Ford's ride tuning - equally comfortable for cruising or firmed up for the twisties. Anyone know how much I'll lose in the way of ride/noise by switching to the 18 inchers? Not/barely/very noticeable? I'm in D.C. and roads around here definitely ain't so great. Thanks in advance.

If you have the factory tires they supply with those wheels you won't lose a thing. I have them on mine and the thing rides like a sedan. If you go with a thinner tire then you'll lose a little ride quality.

If you did an A-B comparison side-by-side you might notice the difference. But, I guarantee you won't miss anything after driving the 18s for a couple months.
