you dont NEED to, it is cheap insurance so that if anything happens you have new parts and dont have to do it over again

Went with 3:73's on my auto. I like them and not a noticeable difference is gas milage that I can tell. About 400 additional RPM's at 70 mph. Feels a lot quicker with the new gears.

The Auto works very well with 3.73 when you have forced induction.
