Default preparing for racing stripes

I'm getting my stripe decals put on tomorrow. Should I at least wash the car or do they do that? Do I need to wax and buff it or does it even matter? I should of asked them these questions but didn't think of it.

I would suggest that you wash the car and rinse the car very well as nobody else will do a better job of it. I do not think wax should be applied, this may interfere with the adhesion of the decals.

Wash and wax the car. The cleaner it is the faster they can install the stripes. Waxing will help the vinyl side over the paint and also help to squeegee the water/air out.
