2006GT, I think you have buyers remorse. Maybe you should've kept that Hemi.

By the way, that was a terrible comparison on apples and oranges when the price of that vehicle is how much more? The Charger is not only heavier, but costs more money. So don't go on about the weight of the Hemi and this and that, and realize the Mustang is better. If you don't think so I recommend you go over the the Dodge forums and rant on about how nice your old car was.
+1

For the price difference you can blow the 4.6 and put down 500rwhp (and weigh 1000lbs less.)

SRT-8 is a pig, by the way. I smoked one, recently.

Big. Fat. Pig.

I love both cars myself. I love any car that I think looks cool. I'm glad these car companies are putting out high horsepower cars and trucks. I like the retro look also.

wtf are you guys talking about? Terrible comparison apples and oranges? These cars are in completely different classes. If anyone thinks a full size sedan is in the same class as a 2 door sports/muscle car, they are smoking crack. Both cars being RWD V8s does not put them in the same class. Having the Charger or any old muscle car name does not neccesarily put the cars in the same class. There is a reason the car won car of the year honors, and it's not because it's a POS. I don't have buyer's remorse either. I said I love my mustang. It's a different kind of car, and that's why I bought it. The thing is for about 6k more, you get A LOT more car that is still very quick. I just think it's funny how people always tout the mustang as being a great value when it really doesn't have a whole lot in the way of options and feels cheap in some respects...my visors feel like cardboard wrapped in felt. Ford could have offered a few more things on the car, and they are starting to with the 2007 models. I was simply stating the fact that the LX cars are good value, and unless you've owned/driven one for a long period of time, you have no frame of reference to be bagging on them calling them big, slow, hunks of metal, lol. Saying you walked an SRT8 and they're slow? I say BS, or the other guy was not racing, he he. Those cars are fast. Sure you can spend 6-7k and put down 500 hp...for awhile...seems to be a lot of people blowing motors around that power level.

The SRT-8 is a big, fat, pig. Truthful 0-60s on those cars are around 5.2.

With my mods, for about, what, 15k less, I smoke them. Repeatedly and easily.

Are you serious? Dude your on crack. The base model Hemi(350hp) does 0-60 5.7sec. The SRT8 Hemi(425hp) does it in 4.8.
Where did you get your dilusional specs from?

P.S stock Chager vs Stock GT- Goes to the GT easy. Stock charger SRT8 vs Stock GT goes to the Charger easy.

Lets not compare mods because anyone can make a beast pout of anything.
Everyone wants to compare their modded Gt against some stock vehicle and proclaim themselves the victor.
Its a new day Pony boys. Everyone is tuning their cars. May he who drops the most money into mods winnith.

There are way too many braggerts on this forum. Take a chill pill sonny it is only a car........ not a god!
I watched a bone stock 340 hemi Charger run 14.3 and 14.4 all day at the track on Saturday.
The SRT9 should be 13.8 -13.6 from what i see at the track. The only completely stock s-197 with a manual that day was running 13.8 with stock rubber and 1800 RPM feathered launch.

it never ceases to amaze me how many people think the only car in the world that is worth half a crap is the one they drive. and even if they are reletively equal inperformance the other car is crap because it cost an extra $5K so the cars arent comperable.
