With a tune, CAI, gears, and sticky tires you should be well in the 12's. Low 13's are possible with a decent driver from the factory.

are you a stick or auto? stick cars are easy to get 12's from. a set of m/t e.t. streets, gears, tune and cai and you are running 12's. the autos need that stuff+ a torque converter. the converter cost about the same as a good clutch setup. if you are racing with slicks or m/t's you will need to upgrade the clutch. if you are an auto the converter will allow your car to launch harder reducing 60' times by about .2 second. i've been 12.62@106 in my auto. 60=1.72 and 1/8 mile 8.00. but it has taken a lot of goodies to sqeak out mid 12's from my auto. the 5speed cars are much easier to get 12's out of.

If I were to go forced induction, which setup would you guys recomend? Supercharger or turbo and what brands are good? And if I were to do one of these would I need to do internals or could it go on a stock engine. Manual transmission btw.
Thanks,
Dustin

Well I say go with a turbo from PowerHouse, if you want more information go here: https://mustangforums.com/m_1304611/tm.htm

Forget the turbo, those are for imports. Get a supercharger, (Whipple or Saleen) you won't regret it. I am going to place an order for my Whipple sometime during this summer.

turbo's aren't just for imports.. lots of mustang racers use turbo setups since they make the most power and as far as power adders go they are the easiest on parts with moderate boost levels. nice thing about a turbo is you can buy a programmer to allow you to control when and how much boost you want on the fly. a typical street s/c take about 50hp to turn it at full boost. turbos take away virtually no power to create boost. also loads on the front of the crankshaft are eliminated since your not turning a pulley/supercharger and belt. i talked to the guys at powerhouse for about 45 minutes about their products and he made me feel reaaly confident in their abilities and services. there is another forum which is censored here so i can't post a link for you but think modular and think ford. there are a few threads going about turbo installs and questions.
