Racing stripes Black? Check this out!
Ok you might have seen my earlier post about putting black racing stripes on a black 06 GT stang.
We were questioning whether it would show or not..
Well I went to the ford sight and got on the accessorizor.
It looks good on that but I wonder if this is how it would ACTUALLY look. check it out here is the link
http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/accessories/
from there go to the link that says Visit the Genuine Ford Accessories website today for complete accessory details and purchase instructions.
The next page will have a link to the accessorizor. the GT mustang then do black with the black stripes and let me know what you think and if it would REALLY look like that or even show up good.
I woulda done direct link but there was none. THX

I will tell you that the only way you'll get black stripes to show up is if they are either a different tone than the rest of the car or if they have a different finish. I would suggest, if you want black on black, that you get stripes that will have a less glossy finish than the rest of the car. This will help them stand out......and it could look pretty good if done right.

That car on the Ford Accessories website is not "black" like your car will be, it looks more like a very dark gray, that's why the stripes show. Your car is not going to be dark gray though, so I wouldn't waste my money on them. It's your money, we can't stop you from getting those black stripes, if that's what you want. Why not go the other way around and get dark gray stripes?

Well if I could find a CHARCOAL grey maybe..... but i dunno where in the world I would go to find such a thing. the ONLY COLORS of black I have seen are the gloss (ford ones) and the flat black.
Can anyone help me with this>?

Ps are these the only stripes available?

The car colors dont really look right to me on this site either. The tungsten grey doesnt look like the others ive seen.
Anyone know a place with a wider variety of colors?

Judging by the amount of threads you've created on just stripes I'd suggest going the painted stripe route, small changes in tone can either blend them in or make them scream, this way it's up to you, not the stripe maker.
