Gears?

Gears?
I'm looking for some advice on gear options. Went by the shop today, and they recommended 4.10 s for my automatic.
I've seen and heard a few different things about 'em, but don't really know much about the differences.
Just wonderin what you guys think would be a good option to run.

RE: Gears?
depends on what you want to do with your car or how you like to drive it. Me, I want the car to MOVE when I hit the gas, I'm not planning on putting a supercharger or turbo on my car, so the 4.10s worked out perfect! Mine is an automatic too. If you want to be more convervative, then go with the 3.73s. They should still give you a pretty good increase in acceleration compared to the stock gears in the automatic.
You gotta be a little more careful hitting the gas with the 4.10s too, especially taking a turn, or on wet pavement. I've had my car sideways the last two days, yesterday wasn't so bad because if was just a little sideways when I hit the gas while taking a turn on a road that had little gravel/sand, felt kinda good actually. Today was really scary, I was at an onramp going into the parkway, it had rained a little, and stupid me, I'm used to turning the traction control off when I start the car, BIG MISTAKE! When I hit the gas (hard) on that onramp to get ahead of traffic and be able to get in with no problems, I felt the rear going out on me, then the car started going towards traffic, I let go of the gas and turned the wheel a little to keep it going straight, well, I must have turned it too much 'cause the car was going into the shoulder, then I turned it a little less and was able to straighten it out and kept on going!!! Let's just say I'm never turning the traction control off when it rains again! [sm=headbang.gif]
