What RPM's are you guys launching at?
What RPM's do you guys recommend for launching on street tires at the track. Thinking about heading to the track this weekend. I have not been since back in the early 90's with my 1990 lx 5.0. (I was thinking about 1800-2200)
Also, what tire pressure do you recommend for front and back?
What kind of 60 foot times could I expect?
Thanks in advance

Offroad H-pipe
Steeda U/D pullies

OK.......No worries, just thought it would be nice to have a quick thread discussing lauch RPM's and 60 foot times. I will keep looking through this forum and some of the others.

Looks like this thread was getting a good number of hits, probally a lot of people looking for the same info.(to bad someone killed it) I personally could not find any threads that discussed this subject. I found a couple of threads that had a couple of quick mentions but that was about it. I would think it would only take about 10-15 seconds to respond with your individual experiences at the track and if you are not interested or have already seen this information before then you could always just disregard this post.
Dont know why it would upset someone that a questions was asked more then once??? I am new hear but doesnt seem very friendly.. :{

RE: What RPM's are you guys launching at?
The search functions on most of these forum sites are kinda querky. I did a search on the same subject a week ago and came up with zilch.
What I would do is start at 1800 and make a few 60' passes raising the RPM's each time by a couple hundred. By that you should be able to get some sense of where the car wants to be.
On the stock 17's, I am guessing much over 22-2500 and times will suffer. But I have only had my car for a week or so. That is just my initial feelings judging by the way the car reacts.
