Can you maintain a warranty with gears? I thought you had to re-cal the speedometer.

I have a friend who is a part-time dealer(he sold me my car) and according to him even though the the tune will be stock the ECU will trip a flag indicating the last flash date as a tell-tell sign that the ECUs been tampered with.

there is no mechine that can tell what tune you have in the car. so they will never know what tune is in there. but they do have a computer that can tell how many times it has been flashed. but they have to bring it in if they suspect that it has been messed with. and from what i am told they will onley do that if you keep blowing up engins. that is comming from a ford service tech at my dealrship

I think he means that he never told the Roush guys that his car was an auto.

That depends COMPLETELY on the dealer. Trust me I know. My brother works at one and my Uncle is the GM of one, where my cousin is the Assistant GM. And yes there is an actual Flag that is tripped, but as far as investigating it that depends on the dealer.
Ill tell you most dealerships will check as a rule though.
Its really a matter of luck.. or bad luck.

No problem Greg909. I realized that I was not real clear on that after I posted it. I was too busy at work to call Roush today but I will get to them soon. It may help to have the dealership twist their arm, but I will try to reason with Roush first.

Hey Lucy2005, we are getting a Roushcharger installed in about 2 weeks and will the warranty be voided if we get the tune done by someone else than roush?
