I have been called to race this white 2005 lumina ss or what you guys call it there the Holden commodore.. its with an ls1 engine and that stuf... but this one is prety special ... it is modded but dont worry, i raced the same car with ( filters,stock cai, tunned, cams,oil cooler) red color, and i got infront until 3rd but on that day my shifting sucked now its 100 times better... and the one im racing on thursday is said to have more mods than the other one.. but from what i have heard the red lumina is faster than the whit ein the take off... so i have an advantage to stay infront until 4th... but to make it look like a great kill i come here and ask for few tips...

what should my rear tire pressure be ? on what rpms shout i let go of the clutch ? and on what rpm's should i shift ?

i am currently using 3,500 rpm for takeoff and 6,100 for shifting ....

need ur help ... if i lose big time then people will start talkin BS about my mustangs .... btw mine is bone stock...

get 4.10 gears before thursday.

tire pressure at 22psi has worked best for me on stock tires

wish i could .... but the stupid dealer wont install any aftermarket part for me ... cuz they said any aftermarket parts thats not from us will void warranty ...

You might want to bring it down to 3,000 rpms on the launch you will get more traction (the less tire spin the better). I run around 25 psi in my tires.

If it has a Trans Am engine (LS1), don't bother racing it yet. Get all the bolt on's, 4.10's and a blower. Then pray he has no mod's.

He's right, you don't stand a chance in hell bone stock. A stock LS1 is already quite potient but a Modded one should not be taken lightly.

I think you should get your CAI and Tune before the race, but it may be a drivers race,
Just get the gears, it only voids the rear warranty, and these rear ends are built tough
nothing will ever happen to the rear, so forget the warranty on the rear. 4.10's will make your car go like it has nitrous :-)

yup thats the car alright ..... it is moded .... and bone stock lumina ss vs a bone stock mustang .... the mustang just beats it like its nothing...

but this on is modded....

It is in the " take off " from the line.. don't go up in smoke on your tires.. I just beat a Vette the other day.. only because of just that.. Ford will put in the gears.. they just want to use Ford gears which is what you should use anyway IMO.. no rear end whine...

if the other guy wins .. say "that is because mine is still stock and yours is not".. so you win no matter what...
