Default 427 in an 06?

I was lookin at that boss mustang kit and was wonderin if you could put a 427 cobra jet in an 06 mustang? I think it would complete the whole "boss" feel.

You can fit it, will require some fabrication and a bunch of other things. I want to go 460.

+1 - the reason you don't hear of a lot of guys doing it cause the entire wiring harness has to be re-done and custom fabricated and programed. VERRRRRY EXPENSIVE. [:@] My bet is would cost you upward of 30K to do it - definitely not worth it.

If you have the time to invest, as well as the funds. I think it would be worth it. I don't know if it would cost $30k, that's a bit much. You would need the engine, a new transmission... might as well redo the rear end and such... Still expensive, but I don't think it would be $30k, unless of course Chevy is including installation and fabrication fees... but if you can do a lot of it yourself, then go for it.

Yeah, I was talking about total costs over stock from the dealer to build the entire car turn key from a builder/shop. (performance & cosmetic mods)
