Can Someone Tell me what this does compared to a tuner?
Looks easier than a tuner.. dont know much about it..
Is it safe to use? On a street 06 GT stang?
Mines all stock so far.
Is it a good company? Would u trust this product?
What else would I have to do to the car if I added this?
Thanks
Heres the product

RE: Can Someone Tell me what this does compared to a tuner?
Is it programable? It doesn't look like it. It looks like a lot of money for little reason. There is a reason you don't see sigs around here with that kind of hardware in them...
And handheld programmers are pretty easy to use. Don't be afraid of them, just follow the directions... and then afterwards you will be laughing at yourself for how easy it was... sorta like falling off a log...

That looks like it does something very similar to a tuner. However, those are NOT programmable. It's basically like a "fixed tune".
I would NOT buy one. Get an SCT-2 or Diablosport tuner instead. They are VERY easy to use. Literally, it goes like this:
1. plug the tuner into your car under the dash
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. Press the up-down arrows on the tuner to select what tune you want. Press "OK" to begin loading the tune.
4. Wait about 3 minutes.
5. Unplug the tuner, turn the ignition off. You're done.
The great thing about a "real" tuner such as the SCT or Diablosport is that you can change a great many parameters if you want to. You can correct for different tire sizes or gear ratios. You can alter the idle RPM. You can also use it to read and clear trouble codes (check engine light). IMHO, a tuner such as that is pretty much mandatory if you're going to start modding for HP.
The problem with the "fixed" tune (aka chip) that you posted is that you can't change it. It might be right for your car NOW, but what happens if you make some more mods? Then it's useless. A real tuner (SCT or Diablo) will "grow" with your mods, nothing more to buy.
