here in Memphis they don't care as long as you don't have the mirror tint, but in MS they will pull you over even with the factory privacy glass.

Funny how the State Trooper can have 5% all the way around, but your not allowed any.

You know, that's interesting info. I hate the ****ing DMV. I checked with them and they also told me no tint whatsoever is allowed as it would not pass inspection. These people need to get their crap together seriously.

I lived in Dc a few years ago for a very short time. (1 year exactly) I had several custom Maximas and a 300 z. Tint is illigal. I even went to a police station in SE to ask about this back then. They gave me this answer. " Tint is illigal, but it depends on the officer if he/she feels like bothering you. It will not pass inspection, however 70% of all dc cars have tint"

Now on the max( wish I could send a pic but it is a standard pic not a digital image that I could email) I had limo tint AND the front window tinted at the top and bottom with a 10in strip of non tint through the middle. Very cool looking. I never got pulled over in that car or any of my cars even though they were very flashy and I am a blk male, I am 37 now but I was in my mid 20's at the time. I look like I'm in my 20's now when I put on my daily gear and baseball cap even though Im almost 40. I have another flashy car (06 Gt with blinging wheels) My cruise is set at 80mph and I drive back and fourth to baltimore 3 times a week from Belair Maryland. I never get pulled over even though when I catch a blurr of a smilen face when I fly by someone on the highway they probably think I'm just a kid. The very same day I sold my Maxima with all that tint, the Hispanic guy who bought it got pulled over the same day.

My advise, get the tint, go 1 shade darker than the Maryland legal limit and drivr like your grandmas's in the car with you and you will be fine.

Just be careful driving through D.C. if you are speeding you can end up with a ticket in the mail waiting for you when you get home without ever being pulled.

both their cars have tint and they've lived there for a year or two
they havnt gotten a ticket..thats pretty interesting
