Default Rear End , Decision and Need some good ol' Experts!

I have the 5M.

I'm curious what gears everyone is running that are not stock, * I believe 3.31* ----

Questions!!![:-], Car is daily driver and 90% Highway. Going wth 3.73 or 4.10 ? How is it in 5th gear *rpm's*, etc and what's the gas mileage like?

Did it make a huge improvment in times. 0-60mph 1/8th 1/4m ??

Thanks in advance!

The 5 speed Manual Trans has 3.55:1 Gears
the Automatic trans has 3.31:1 Gears

The Manual trans most people like the 4.10 - 4.30 gears best range for Natural asperated engine
and 3.73 - 4.10 for a Supercharged car

The Automatics guys like the 3.73 - 4.10 gears best range for Natural asperated engine
and 3.55 - 3.73 for a Supercharged car.

Most people have the best luck with FFRP gears, quickest installs and no noise. Hope this helps,

Exactly! As far as higher rpm's, I have a manual, FRPP 4:10's and use to be at 2500 @80 mph, now 2800 @ 80 mph. The 4:10's are a blast.

Go with 4.10's. I have used them in my car for the past two years and it's a daily driver, mostly highway. They will not kill your gas mileage as is so often stated by those who have never had them.

I was skeptical about 4:10's like you also. I put my trust in these guys on here and brought them off ebay and just installed them yesterday. All i can say is they are perfect! I also drive alot of miles and was worried about mileage. Haven't got many miles on them yet but the car is so drivable that the rpm difference won't make any difference untill upper 5 gear speeds. Get them! They boost acceleration more than the 93sct tune w/cai did! The combination of the two mods will keep you smilling for some time to come. Even if you loose a few tenths of a mpg, the fun factor makes up for it ten fold!
