Default Desired Sound

I got Borla stingers on my car and they sound great(really deep) but my ride still doesn't what that old skool big block rumble. Should headers and high-flo cats be my next step or will high-flo cats do the trick. I am considering off road pipes but this is my only ride for now and I'd hate to get mirrored.

headers and a or h pipe will help....but you'll never get a 4.6 to sound anything like a big block

281 cubic inches[4.6L] is a very small block V-8. It will never sound like a 428 or 429.

Yea, believe it or not, the big block sound has very little to do with exhaust and is more cam and cubic inches.

My 451 mopar has a mild cam only 2.25" stock style pipes, no x over or H, and just a single pair of 20" super turbos.

It is 3 times louder than the stang at idle and about twice at WOT. And the sound is definatly 60s big block.

Sometimes if you go too big or high flow with exhaust on small blocks you get that really nasty hollow sound.

No way to make the stang sound like a big block, not worth the effort.

To me it sounds very sports car like now, just could be a tad louder and deeper.
