Hey bob I didnt mean to get ya upset, I was just giving my opinion.

If I was concerned about the warranty, I would buy a crate motor and pull the original motor and keep it in the back of the shop. I would then mod the hell out of the crate. If I blow it up, no biggie I can always swap back my warrantied motor. Your talkin about doing some serious modification to the stock engine with twin turbos and all new internals. Trust me when I say that your ford mechanic will notice anything you do to the engine and if your replacing most the internals anyway, a crate would indeed be cheaper.

Just some friendly advice.

Agreed. Though by the time I have all this stuff installed my warrany will probably expire. And I'm NOT buying a crate motor. It's way to expensive (8,000 for engine, 3,000 all supporting mods, and whatever else I'll need), and even if I did get one, I would have a twin turbo put on it. So what would be the point? I'm sorry to tell everyone, but I'm going to get a twin turbo. Even if I still have my warrany.

Alphy.. You make a good point, but I still would want twin turbos. Which wouldn't be under warranty.

Oh, there's that bit where, if an engine blows under boost (because of boost), it leaves very apparent markings all over the pistons that scream "I blew cause of too much PSI!"

=p

I promise you they will notice the turbos if you take it in with a blown motor or trans, they will have to put it on a lift and all that extra tubing will be pretty obvious. Have fun with that overpriced, overweight STS turbo kit that produces power more like a centrifugal supercharger.

Alright, let me get this straight. If I purchase a whole new engine, as long as it's a Ford engine, I will still have my warranty? Is it really worth it?

If you do anything you're thinking about, you will lose your warranty. Turbo = Gone, Forge = Gone, etc etc

So either way I lose my warranty? I'm not going to blow my engine by the way, I've done my homework about turbos.

So the only reason I shouldn't get a twin turbo is because it might blow the engine from to high of PSI, and it's more expensive then a crate engine, and the crate engine can offer more power without boost. Is that the disagreement? So basically it's all about the money.
