Default RE: How long should you wait before your first street race?

Good for you all, mine is a daily driver, I expect to get over 100,000 miles without too many problems. I broke my '88 in the same way and it still runs hard with mods now with the same heads, bottom end and tranny. I got a 4.8 0-60 on the Gtech last month.

Seriously, the only reason my wife didn't object to my new car is because of how well my previous cars have held up with so very little maintenance. It's amazing how much bull**** I hear about how these american cars suck, yet I have a 19 year old muscle car that can outpull just about anything, including my new car, and I've donated a 12 year old truck to my daughter that has been worked to death but is still very reliable. The only key variables are synthetic oil and not ******* the hell out of them.

I don't hear much about 19 year old or 12 year old reliable japanese cars, only about how reliable the 4 or 6 year old japanese cars are.

And I ran the hell out of my '88! When the time was right, I ****ing scorched asphalt and humiliated corvettes! I had a '83 and I ran the **** out of it too. T-Tops ruled! I ****ed up quite a few zs and some mopar turbos.
