Offroad Hpipe/Flowmaster just a little to loud??
I got my flowmasters mufflers about 6 months ago and liked them but they were a little too tame for my taste. I then added the Offroad h-pipe about 2 months ago and like the sound and HP gain but it is just a bit to loud. I Was wondering if anyone else had this combo and what they thought?
I was also wondering if I added resonators to the picture would that tone it down a notch and if so by how much? I am looking for something inbetween but dont want to lose the HP gain.
Thanks

Yes, resonators will quiet it down.
I don't know how to quantify "how much", but it will quiet it down. It will be louder than with cats, but not as loud as you have it now.

I faced a similar situation. I had Bassani x-pipe (no cats) with Bassani axle-backs. I thought the combo was to loud & raspy, I had the x-pipe pulled 24hrs later. I am much happier with the sound (just axle backs), I was told that installing cats or resonators with the aftermarket mid-pipe would have quieted the sound a little. Anyway, I just kept the axle backs, suits my taste.

I talked with Fred from Evolution performance and they are going to do the install on Tuesday. He has resonators on his car and likes them and said their is no HP loss.
