Diablo, CAI and factory warranties

RE: Diablo, CAI and factory warranties
Probly depends on the dealer. Some are cooler than others.
My dealer repaired faulty wiring in steering wheel that was causing the horn and airbag not to work. They did it under warranty but at first the head mechanic tried to say the wiring harness was somehow modified so the warrantly wouldn't cover it. I told them the wiring wasn't touched when I did my mods and the service manager said OK and covered it.
There's a great article on warranty's and the warped incentives of dealer service dep's in the June '06 issue of MM&FF magazine. It gives some good tips on how to negotiate with service dep if you have a modified car.
