What would I need to run mid-12's

Full Suspension, Drag Radials... or maybe even slicks, UDP's, Full Exhaust, Intake, custom tune, and a really good driver should have you there. I believe some people have run 12.6's or 12.8's with less mods, just don't know if it is consistent or not.

tah, I built a simulation model for mod's to the 05/06 mustang.
adding cai, exhaust (lth, x-pipe), 4.1 gears and drag radials for traction should get you the following
time
0-60 3.96
60 ft 1.7
1/8 7.89
1/4 12.46
by my estimates parts and labor should run you around $3300. not a bad investment for a full second in the 1/4 mile

what is this simulator u speak of? u said something about it in another post.
DAMN. thats quick. sounds too good to be true, to be honest. by that logic, ported heads and a couple little bolt ons would get it to run 12 flat. hmmmmmmmmmm.

yeah it does seem quick, but I've heard lot's of anecdotes of guys with gears, cold air, exhaust and slicks getting well into the 12's.
maybe some folks with these mod's can post actual results.
as for the heads, i've seen an article on livernois heads adding 40+ rwhp. so 12 flat don't seem that far off.
regarding the simulator, it's something I built in VBA/Excel. I am hoping my buddy and I can get it posted on our webiste this week. when we do I'd appreciate you guys taking a look and giving us some feedback on how we can improve it.

RE: What would I need to run mid-12's
I would think that with the basics (intake, exhaust & tune) plus gears, slicks & pulleys, maybe a little suspension then your car should be capable but you're still going to need the skills (I think this is MY problem at the track.)
I've just got the intake/tune/exhaust & my car is supposedly capable of a 12.8 sec run (that's what I ran on the dyno anyway, but who knows how accurate that is) but I haven't been able to get better than 13.4 on actual tarmac. I think mainly due to the lack of skills.

i would say, intake, tune, gears, longtubes, udp, and aluminum driveshaft with get you there on stock rubber. Thats what im hopping for, all i need now is the driveshaft and longtubes, i should be around 12.5, lower with some better tires
