I'm also told that 3rd and 4rth gears on a stang are more powerful than the STI's and thats why I said IT IS POSSIBLE "but not easy."

Like others have said, you can take the WRX, I haven't raced an STi so I have no idea if it's be a waste of time. I have a friend that has a WRX with some minor mods, he did try to race me on Sunday on our way to beach, it was from like a 40-50MPH roll, he was giving the signals so he floored it first, we were together for like 2-3 seconds, then my car must have downshifted because I just launged forward and it was over from there.
