A buddy wants to run against me with his stock subaru wrx with a turbo. Can I take him. Thought I should ask before betting.

It would depend on your mods, driver expierence and wether his car is an STi or not.

if he's an STi, I'd probly steer clear until you get some mod's. I think they are 13 flat in 1/4. if it's just plain WRx then I'd steer clear.

Ive got the same thing here, my friend has same wrx and ran a 13.9 at the track, and I took him from a 40 roll. Ur probably not going to be able to take him from a dig, depending on your traction, but a 40 roll in second gear at like 3500 rpms is enough probably to finish it.

I have raced 2 sti's on the highway both went from about 65MPH to 120MPH. I pulled about a car length on both

you can take a normal wrx no problem as long as you can drive decent

i have driven a new WRX (not the STI) and my stock 06 GT feels a hell of a lot faster. i guarantee you can beat it as long as he doesn't have any crazy mods and you dont mess up.

I am stock. As far as traction, I have 20's that grip very well.

Well traction will help but the extra weight and rotating mass of the 20's will actually slow you down.

A stock Mustang can beat a stock regular WRX in 1/4 mile.



A stock Mustang with a good driving, so I'm told, can beat an STI, but not easilly.
