Default Supercharging the MGT

Okay, from what I understand the leading choices are:

Roush
Steeda
Procharger

Any others?

What are the pluses and minuses of each.
I've been told the Roush retained the full factory warranty on your car if installed
at an authorized dealer. Do the others do the same.

Here would be my interest.
Not looking for ultimate power.
Want VERY GOOD, RELAIBLE power increase with excellent driveability.
Don't want to spend $6-7K to only get minimual hp gain though, but also don't want to
push it. I'd want a solid 100 hp gain.

Don't want a really loud S/C whine either
Supercharger experts let me here your thoughts and advice.

Thanks

The saleen is not that loud, i have one and Im putting 401 to the ground with a little more aggresive tune than the saleen one.

#1 - steeda does not have a s/c.
#2 - you came up with the roush and procharger as being your best choices, HOW?

There is also Eaton, vortech.........I would stay away from the roush, overpriced and underpower IMO.

You lookin for safe and good power go with Saleen..........You looking for all out power, pro charger, kenne bell, vortech

Chevy Killer,

Sorry, meant Saleen, not Steeda. Mind was wandering.
I didn't say Roush or Procharger were the "best" but rather appear
to be the "leading" choice from what I've seen people post.

Cableguy,

Why stay away from Roush. They state they put out the same power as the Saleen
and if installed at an authorized Ford dealer, the car retains the factory warranty.
Is that also the case with Saleen?

It's okay - I figured that's what you meant...lol - and the roush ROOTS blower will not put out nowhere near what the saleen TWIN SCREW is capabale of. The roush is the best bet IMO for gains with 100% warranty intact. If you are woried about warranty, then I think the roush is the best choice even though it's the worst PERFORMING s/c available. The Vortech is slightly more effecient than the procharger IMHO and is the best choice for centrifugals to me. Although the procharger is capable of more power pulley for pulley, it is also the #1 blown motor s/c. More Prochargers have blown engines than all the other s/c combined. Like I said, NOT the most effecient...lol. For twin screws I personally like the KB best but you can't go wrong with the saleen either.

'SOMEDAY' being the operative word...lol It may or may not live live up to its' expectations but because they can never release it or give a definite date of release we won't know for some time. I wouldn't buy ANYTHING until it's tried. tested, and proven on other cars. My personal hunch is they are unable to safely get the numbers they are marketing/claiming and that's why it's taking forever. I doubt they ever will make the numbers they are trying to claim on the stock motor. I don't think the 'powers that be' will release a standard kit EVER that could blow motors IMHO.

Mark

EDIT - I think when it does finally come out, you will see numbers comparable to the saleen with the saleen included tune. Around 400 hp IMHO.
