Which would you prefer for a slighty modded automatic GT?

it all depends...do you want to be fast from a dig? are you planning on adding a S/C or nitrous? is gas mileage a big concern for you??? these are all questions you need to address when changing out gears

3.73 FRPP in my Auto with N20 and love them. I drive 65 miles on the interstate 5 days a week and get 20 MPG. (I can't seem to keep my foot out of her.) At 75MPH my RPM's are at 2400 and before the gear install I was at 2100 RPM's. Hope this helps.
