I have heard from a number of places that (former) SVT dealerships are less likely to void your warranty for basic bolt-on modifications like exhaust/CAI/tune/etc.

Does anyone know what dealerships in the Chicagoland area are SVT dealerships, or how I can look this up?

Also, does anyone have any experience with a dealership like this or any other dealership in the area, related to getting warranty work done on a modded car?

I think there is one in Plainfield ,Il. but I can't remember the name of it.

Packey Webb (Wheaton) and Victor Ford (Wauconda) were SVT dealerships. Lyons-Ryan in Antioch may have been as well, as they seem to have a knowledge base about performance Fords. I have had good experiences with Packey Webb and Lyons-Ryan. I have never dealt with Victor but it is the sponsoring dealer for the local SVT club, where you might want to ask the same question: http://www.nisvtoa.com/.
