Default chips/tuners

i was wondering about some of the chips and tuners...one of my friends with a stock 05 gt 5 speed said that when we hit the gas, ford limited our throttle to 80%...is that true? if so what chip/tuner would be best? thanks

I have the Diablosport predator flash tuner. It hooks up to the diagnostic port. Simple as it gets. However, if I had to do it over , I would have bought the SCT tuner. According to a custom tuner I spoke with, it is more programmable to get more power than the Diablosport Predator. Don't even consider a chip. They are a pain in the a**.

C&L with a SCT with a *custom dyno tune/ done by a pro *

put the SCT in your garabe and leave it alone... as you won't need it any more ( until you do more mods )

I did the C & L CAI and the SCT 93 tune, unbelievable difference. It was super easy to install and I can't believe the difference.

I have the SCT Strategy Flash which includes 89, 91, and 93 performance and economy tunes. It also has options for a few poplular intakes, including the JLT, I think the C&L and one or two others. Since I have an Airaid, I didn't pay much attention to that section. It includes tunes for several different Mustangs so you could easily carry it to another Mustang if you decide to bail on your 05-06 for whatever reason.

I read about the throttle limit rumor. swieduwi was supposed to get a video of the butterflies but I guess he never did, 'cos he disappeared. My datalogs however did in fact show the throttle position pegging about 85%, give or take. Throttle delay was however erradicated.
