Default Who's using the C&L CAI optional bracket?

I didn't bother with it and things seem to remain stable.

I check it every week as part of my usual PM routine.

How about the rest of you?

I don't have the C&L but I'd imagine its their to prevent chaffing or prevent flexing under load. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I use it. You have to knock the bushing off of the valve cover bolt to put the bracket on. Has to be done on a vise or something simmilar that will be able to hold the bushing so you can knock out the bolt. Makes a very solid set up.

I did not use it on my installation, and no problems after a year of operation.

I'm using the bracket, it was easy to install. I figured I'd rather play it safe. The C&L intake is fairly heavy, so I thought the extra support was a good thing.

I use it too, because it says to.

Does anyone know if the racer version uses it as well.

Did not use it on my installation. Seems stable enough without it. Did not want to remove a bolt from the valve cover at that time. Check it often, no issues. If I see something going on there I will certainly use it.

Yep, used it on my installation as well. Just felt a bit more secure about it....(it was my first mod)
