How much?
I'm gonig this weekend to start looking at 5spd man MGT premiums. I don't want the 1000watt stereo or "18 wheels. Can you guys with similar cars tell me how much you paid? This will help me decide if I buy an '06 or order an'07.
Thanks!

RE: How much?
I got my '06 in October. At that time the lot I went to was marking up GT's $3000 over MSRP. I got one still en route to the lot for MSRP--$28325. See specifics in my sig. You might find an '06 for a deal at a lot this late in the model year, but chances are you won't find exactly what you want.
Good luck,

RE: How much?
I got my 06 brand new off the lot with about 15 miles only missing the shaker1000, but including the 18" fanblades and all other options for $27,500. The MSRP was $28,985 and the price drop was not negotiated until the sales man surprised us with the numbers when we we came back the next day to purchase it. Great salesman at Courtesy Ford and also drove a Stang.

RE: How much?
My list was 28,880 with 18" bullits. No shaker 1000, no active security. But it had everything else, + wheel locks and the chrome tips.
I paid 27,880. Most dealers wanted 2-3000 over. After a few weeks I found a dealer willing to go to MSRP, then a little hungry dealer went to 1000 under but all on cars in colors I did not want. So when I found the car I wanted an hour + away I called them, told them what I wanted, he said to come down and we will take care of you. Smoothest dealer trasaction ever. They at first told me 750 under. I said make it the 1000 under we spoke about and I will take it home today. 5 minutes later I had the deal.
I would say, based on my shopping, for a stick GT, 1000 under is great this time of year. Had I been willing to order a car and wait, or had it been anything other than a stick GT, I would have tried for a bit closer to invoice. But I think overall I did pretty well as from the initial prices I was hit with, I saved 4 grand by shopping around alot.
A hint, I wouldent go on a saturday. That is almost the worst day possible to buy a car unless you go late in the day and the dealer had a bad day. I like weeknights like monday or tuesday, in the rain or snow.
