Default Me vs my Dads 03 Porche Carerra!

Anyone know how I would compare to his car with a 06 GT?
I know the thing would beat me but my bro says a vette is faster... wondering if anyone knows what it would take to take daddio down...
Id love to do it with the car he paid 80 grand for. hehehhe.
Maybe not possible.. I have no idea.. I know its a small car probably weighs really light.
I think daddio said it was 325hp......

I wonder what all I'd have to do to get that sucka!

a power adder and a set of gears and intake should do the trick

They were 320 hp and ran low 13's @ 106-107 mph.

As the above poster stated,
Intake, Tune, Gears and you should be equal to him.

Get some Lightweight Wheels/tires (better rubber too) and you'll do even better.
A few other minor bolt ons should have you walking him.

a power adder of any kind is not necessary in the least. gears and intake iwth a really good tune is enough to make it a dead even race.

ahh BTW what size gears would you recommend?
oh one other thing... as far as CAI.. I dont wanna void my warranty so I'll buy one with a tuner.. so i can switch out... Question is... I heard even if you switch your tune and cai back theres a way ford can tell you've done so... is this true?

LOL. i've driven a porsche 911 carrera. IMO, drivers race until about 50, at which point the porsche will start to pull away. they're not much faster, they arent really drag cars; more of an all around sports car. get some gears and a CAI/tune package and u should have him no problem.

BTW: you race your dad? huh. no comment. or maybe its just for bragging rights to say who's faster?

the stang can be made MUCH faster with minimal mods. good luck bro.

I would take sleeper's advice over mine, he knows more. I was just taking the safer approach so that you KNOW youll win... better to have the power and not need it than need it and not have it as your dad is pulling away...

Beating a porsche in a drag race with a mustang is somewhat just plain wierd. Could it be done with a GT, sure.

But in reality, porsches arent built for drag racing. They arent geared for drag racing. And most owners could really care less about being beat by a mustang in a straight line. Porsches are built for the track and to be an all around ballanced sports car. Not 1/4 mile beasts. Most owners dont buy them for that and big deal if a mustang is faster.

Most porsches are barely stretching their legs at the end of a quarter mile and have three gears and a 80-100 MPH left in them at that point.

If a porsche is considered to be a scalpel a mustang is more akin to a chainsaw.

Both are great, but each has its place.
