I'm buying 3.73 gears this week and was wondering where the best place to buy Ford gears is. I see Mustang Tuning has them for $179 and they come with shims. I only have 1300 miles, so I figure the bearings are fine, or is it still good to buy new. Can the ones I have be hurt in the swap?

The dealer recommended I buy a new race also so I did. The person doing the install didn't seem to think it was needed but he told me he put it in anyway. I'll probably never know if he actually used it or just set it aside for a spare.

Thanks, I'm calling my dealer to see if they'll do it first, which I doubt. I hope to get it done this coming week. I have an auto, so it should be very simular to your 4.11's..
