Are you trading in your V6 for the GT? If so, why? Just curious. Good luck with the new GT!

I am indeed trading the sixxer in. I posted a thread on the V6 forum with my reasons, but basically I was on the verge of ordering an SC for it and then re-thought whether I wanted to go down that road or get a GT. My 6 doesn't have ABS which is something I regretted after buying it (not that anything has happened, but it -could- happen). I also wish I had gone with a stick instead of auto. Also while I love the black color, it's high maintenance and with the water rationing around here (2nd year in a row) I am not allowed to wash my car in the drive. In addition I like some of the new options for '07 like the heated seats, cloth top and extra jack for an Ipod So I went for it!

This is as good a price as it gets so if you want 'em buy 'em. http://208.62.69.135/frparts.asp Go to, "search by part number" and plug this part number in: M52305GT.

My 06 Roush Mustang with the blower came with the Ford/ Borla racing exhast.I don't get any drone, just a really nice burble at low RPM.I usually run it above 2000 rpm to help keep it from pinging(however pinging isn't happening),I don't want to lug the engine.

Tres Wright, I don't want to rain on your parade but the drone in a vert is a lot worse than coupe. When I get back from vacation i'll try and do a video of the drone for you in my dads vert compared to mine. If you don't mind a drone you will be fine, but it is really worse than you think IMHO.
I am not trying to veer you away from Borla as they sound amazing and are great quality, but I don't want you to realize the consequences after you've already purchased them. Like I said before it was so bad he wanted to put the stock exhaust back on and then get Corsa later on.
Again, I will try and get a video up for you in comparison but also try and talk to more vert owners.

I just put my axle-back FRPP/Borla exhast on last night and they sound great... especially when you open her up. As far as DRONE... I notice a little resonance at about 2K, other that that, just a mildy louder , very nice sound coming from the pipes. The DRONE is much less than I had been led to beleive. My car is an 06GT Auto Coupe. I also have the K&N CAI... combined with the new mufflers, there is a very noticable extra kick in the pants... and the car sounds just plain awesome.

Jeff, thanks for your comments. Drone is a subjective thing and frankly I do have a pretty high tolerance for it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be something really obnoxious as I mentioned before. I've had a '72 Grand Prix with 455 and glass packs, a '69 Cougar Eliminator with a badass Cleveland that ran 2-1/2" exhaust through turbo mufflers into downturns, a couple of GTO's, etc. They all droned, but some drone adds to the musclecar experience IMO. Don't worry about trying to videotape it, because of the nature of drone it isn't going to come across on tape I don't think. It's more like something you feel in your bones than hear.
