Unless you are one of the few speedshops owners who knows their sheet about these cars, then YES, you will get much better performance from a pro than to DIY. Also worth noting is the fact that playing with your tune without knowing what you are doing is a quick and easy way to blow up your motor.

Also, check to see if the tuners you talk to will tinker with the Predator. Every tuner I've talked to recommends the SCT II. That's why I returned my Predator and just bought a JLT II CAI/SCT II tuner from Fred at Evo. The SCT II offers more flexability from the tuners standpoint. If it's not to late, I would consider returning the Predator.

That's not true actually. It just seems that way cause the tuners you have talked to are more comfortable with the SCT. They're are just as many tuners out there who will say the same thing about predator. Tuners are actually equal and it all boils down to who is going to tune your car and what tuner they are more comfortable with. Since you already have the predator, it would be wiser to find a good tuner who is comfortable with it than to scrap it.

This also is true. It's just the tuners I'VE talked to recommend the SCT II. If you can find a tuner who feels comfortable with the Predator and you are comfortable with that tuner, then by all means keep the Predator. I could not find that tuner(s) myself.
