Default Having trouble putting gas in the car

Hey guys,
Just got my GT a few days ago and I am having trouble putting gas in the car. The pump keeps shutting off, It has done it both times I've had to put gas in the car. I'm going to take it into the dealership tommorrow and have them check it out. I was just curious if any one else has had this problem with there car. The fella at the gas station said he had seen another Mustang having the same problem.

I cant believe they are still having that issue.. flip the nozzle upside down and you should be able to fill it. Some stations will have that issue and some wont.. tell ford and have them fix it... this should have been fixed long ago

Here is what i do and i have never had an issue at all. Put the nozzle in and the turn it to the 3 O'Clock position, let the nozzle rest on your leg and pull the handle to begin the flow of gas then lock it into the very first lock position on the handle and let it fill. Mine has never shut of early and has filled completely every time with this method. Also some pumps seem to be worse than others.

haven't had a filling issue yet.....agreed, some station
nozzles are a little on the sensitive side when it
comes to the Mustangs and their filler tube design

This is the Fuel Fill Problem, was one of the first big problems with the 05 I have not heard it mentioned here for along time.

I can tell you that I had the Fule Fill problem and it made me crazy, I got the TSB from here and had dealer swap it out and have not had a problem since.

Just take it to the dealer and ask about the TSB they have on the problem, Basicly they will swap out the gas tank atleast thats what they did for mine.

I had the TSB done and still have the problem once in a while. The problem seems to only occur when it is hot outside (mid 80's or up). I agree you can move the handle sideways or straight up to work around it.
