Default Down the road! 5.4L

ive noticed with cars, whoever is more patient wins. In my case i havnt been patient. i jumped and ordered my 06 bla bla bla. its amazing waiting for the headers/exhaust now, but thats where i think im going to stop. i will have all the most of basic mods. CAI, Headers, A/B, UDP, Water pump pulley ect. ill spend maybe $1000 more at the most.
I was saving for internal upgrades and saleen s/c. sounds awesome. That would but me well over 500hp. That is only safe with the internals upgraded to withstand. By the time i do that im down 10 grand. SORRY for the rambling but i have 4,000 cash now and two more years of paments.

Point is that i know that they are going to put that precious shelby 5.4L in a mustang without the supercharger. ive heard from articals and from friends at ford that there is an up and coming boss mustang and somesort of svt whether that is the "cobra" (gt500 not) i dunno. But i want to know who else is waiting for special mustangs like this. Oh and motortrend says around '09 for the boss but who knows with the economy lol.
before i get any neg. remarks im going to be at towson studdying who knows what whithout my precious GT

Sorry that was much longer than i thought but comeon a Boss 330 5.4L

Why would you want to drop a 5.4l in a 05/06GT with no s/c, would you not be adding like 300-400lbs, with out s/c thats probaly a 400hp engine? With Yours at 300 why would you pay all that add weight and get 100 more hp, just put the s/c and get some bigger injectors, change the plugs, puts some 3.73 or 4.10s and You got a 400+rwhp car that runs low 12's, get $1000 doller upgrade from saleen and your high 11's

I wasnt talking about dropping in a motor from one of those, I was talking about building a motor, most likely using a lighter substance.. kinda like what some of the guys on here are doing..

I am just waiting for someone to come into my shop that wants a 3valve car to be n/a. I would love to have a customer with a 3 valve n/a car that revs to 10k and see what we could do with that. Mod Motors at 10k sound awesome going down the block! It will make you never want a supercharger again.

alot of new muscle cars are coming out by 08-09 (cameros, dodge's, etc) so i would think they would have some sort of boss or mach 1 mustang by then.

Victor Downs, of NMRA real street has a n/a 98 cobra that revs to 9500, runs 10.40's and does the 1-2 with the wheels in the air. That car is so sexy.........

Seems like the reliability for a daily driver would come in to question if you reved the ol 4.6 up to ten grand? Shure would be fun though... You could make some incredible HP up there. Talk about miserable to drive in traffic though...
