sdwndr how did it go?! I hope well. Do you feel it was as easy as everyone said or what? I feel looking back it was easy but I kinda expected to have the little pictures as the instructions go along, after all instructions only help if you know what item they are talking about. I love the ((KICK)) it has giving my car not sure how exactly the cai works but it sure does. The cai just seems like a pretty version of what we already had, I know it is more to it than that but I have no clue as to what. Anyway, hope it went well let me know....

Okay, I pretty much got this thing on...Really not too hard. Just fiddling and tightening now.

I have tightened to all hell the hose clamps connecting the intake to the throttle body. It is pretty secure, but there is still the slightest amount of play, is this normal and unavoidable?

Also, does the car need to be running to upload the tune?

I got the intake installed and the 87 tune loaded (until this tank runs out, then I'll put 93 in).

I haven't taken it on the highway yet, but the difference in off the line acceleration is ridiculous. Like everyone says, it is a very noticeable difference, the car pulls hard from a stop light. Quote from the girlfriend: "It hurts my neck."

It sounds meaner too. I don't know if this is possible and it may even be wishful thinking, but I almost feel like the drone is less too. That may turn out to be a dream after some more time behind the wheel.

And I keep forgetting I only have the 87 tune in, can't wait for the 93.

How low should I take my current tank of 87 before filling up with 93 and re-tuning? Or should I fill up with 93 and only tune it to 89 for the first tank of gas?

Ran into the same problem as I had an entire tank of 87 in when I tuned it. What I ended up doing was throwing in the 93 tune, taking a long road trip and not dipping into the throttle aggressively until I needed another tank of gas.
