I love the Shaker's.....I just want one that actually comes
with a (real) CAI kit and actually increases HP. I can't see how this
one would improve HP when no re flashing is done.....

"The CDC Shaker System uses the factory air box so Engine flashing is not necessary."

I installed the shaker scoop on my mustang and I didn't get any performance gains at all. Its looks awesome though. Car gets more looks now then ever before.

Food for thought on intakes. For automobiles ram air does not work. There have been a few F1 cars and drag cars that have tried it, but no real gains. Now on jet aircraft a very useful feature. So, that leaves just cold air, which is very beneficial. Any intake that can bring the outside air into the engines with the shortest route is the best.

The second thing to consider is the filter. They are only two ways to increase flow through a filter, less filtration or bigger filter. Now less filtration is not the most desirable path, but it works. Adding a bigger filter, while keeping the same filtration level is the most desirable.

Sorry, Im probobly hijacking your thread with this, but if this link works, It has some good information about intakes and such.

To comment on the shaker hood thingy.....I think it looks great. But for me, thats ALOT of cash to be throwing around on something that just looks good.

a shaker hood is not a performance modification in the least. purely for looks.
