Gas prices..

RE: Gas prices..
Won't be long til we are like Japan and Europe paying $5 a gallon. I'll always keep a mucsle car of some type as long as I can but soon their might be a diesel or hybrid parked next to it. I'd love to see diesel cars take off here in the states like they have over the rest of the world. They are quiet, efficent, and can be pretty peppy. I think a 330d would give most stock stangs a serious run for their money. Biodiesel seems like a cool idea as well. Not a particular fan of hybrids or E85 but I guess they work. We need to do something as a nation because I don't see gas prices ever going under 2.00 a gallon again. I'm not a tree hugger but I'm not gonna be paying $90 to fill my tank every week. $40 is bad enough.

gas, corn, eggs, milk, beef, copper, iron, aluminum, gold, houses! - you name your commodity it has jumped 50% or far more in price...
So, you can take comfort (or not) in the reality that very shortly we will all realize that $90 IS yesterday's $40...
But that is a rant for another forum...

RE: Gas prices..
I have to pay a whopping 6.75 for a gallon of the cheapest crappiest gas there is. Go to the station you want your fuel from, and a grade higher and you pay more than 7 bucks a gallon, in some cases even going towards 8.
Europe, and in particular the country I am from (the Netherlands) is horrid gas price wise.
I am sorry, but you guys have it easy… And after today I hope I can say the same coming 9th of October. (I have my visa interview today)
