Default Roush bumper

Ok, so I contacted a local authorized Roush dealer to purchase the front bumper and have it installed:

Here's what I got:

the front bumper is $637
fog lamp /installation kit $217
optional chin spoiler $188
paint $550
freight $100

installation of bumper,foglight harness $427.80

total $2120.00 plus tax/shop supplies

Is it me, or that sounds like ridiculously expensive?

paying for labor is a beatch. Buy the parts install them yourself. Are they painting anything?

oh nm, just read the rest of your post... ask them if they can paint without the parts being installed.... should be a good match as long as the paint on your car is good.

well what really sucks is that most of the cost of the paint IS labor...prep labor. Well some other guy on here got a quote for I think 1400-1600 to paint a front bumper, rear bumper and some other part so 550 sounds about right for a front bumper.

on the other hand I got a quote from a body shop for painting and installing the roush bumper and this hood for $865.00

I just don't think they were aware the roush bumper comes with the fog lamps, so that's gotta be something extra

I just had mine done this week. The bumper cover with foglamps was $572.oo(CDN-before tax 14%)....
Paint was about $550.00.(CDN plus 14% tax)
Install was $450.00 including wiring.I did not pay frieght(thru my dealer)so I saved $100.00 that way(It was part of a huge order). Also I didn't go for the Optional Chin spoiler. You don't need it.It will be low enough without it.
The fog lamps WERE included with my bumper for free.

It's just like the cleaning/detailing and processing fees that dealerships always charge. Its all bs.

Search online, there was one of the authorized Roush vendors selling the bumper with the lights and harness for about U$ 650.00 and the shipping was either free or very reasonable... Painting a front facia/bumper should not cost you more than U$ 250.00 - U$ 300.00 dollars and that is with a good quality shop... Installing a front facia is very easy and no reason you could not do it yourself in a couple of hours with basic tools, and the harness from Roush I believe is plug and play... The bumper installed should not exceed U$ 1,000.00...
