I would stick with Motorcraft. That filter does sound good, but I don't want to be one of the first to try when I have something that already works well. They might be just great. Sounds like it in the ad.

That is not new technology, those have been around for a while.

I have used a similar product (Scott's) on my racing motorcycles for several years now. They work great, I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

One of the features that I like is that whenever you clean the filter, you can very easily examine the element to see exactly what kind of debris (if any) are in your motor. Serious guys do that with regular filters (cut them open with a can opener) but that's a lot more work.

I think they're great if you do your own work, but I wouldn't buy one if you take your car to a 'lube shop'. Some idiot tech is probably going to take it off and replace it with a $2 no-name filter rather than clean it properly.

Sounds good, I think I will give it a try. I will be doing all my oil changes, I don't trust the "jiffy lubes" I would have to go back with a shotgun if punkass F***ed up my car!

Well if I don't like the filter I can always sell it on ebay

thanks for the info!
